PRIVACY POLICY

 

This data privacy security declaration applies only to ATP - Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal services.

The Internet is a fabulous communication tool. Day by day we realize its growing importance in our lives, because a simple mouse click on our computer and the world is at our feet. People come closer together, experiences are spread more quickly. The evolution of society is, nowadays, galloping.

Because of all this reasons and so everyone trust even more on this way of communication, it is important for ATP - Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal that all users of its services and visitors of its web pages have guarantees on the confidentiality of their data.

 

Personal data

We ask you personally identifiable information when you request information, subscribe to newsletters, respond to a survey, exchange correspondence with us or participate in other activities that may exist on our site. It is always your choice to proceed when we ask you for personal information.

 

When you visit our site, we will collect information known as "clickstreams" (IP address, domain name, etc.). This information, combined with the data you have given us, allows us to tailor the operation of our site to better experience your visits.

 

We do not share your data with any company or organization or transfer it outside the European Economic Area.

 

What do we mean by personal data? What principles do we apply?

By "personal data" we mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

ATP collects and processes personal data voluntarily provided by the holder of the personal data (the Data Subject) by completing the forms on our website, in person, by telephone, by post and by e-mail.

 

Any information provided by the holder in this way will only be used to send you our newsletters, to inform you about our activity or to publicise events (ours or third parties' when relevant in the context of ATP's activity) and in compliance with the legislation on data protection.

 

The data is stored and retained for a period of time that depends on the purpose for which the information is processed, and whether or not there is a legal requirement to retain the data for a minimum period of time. When there is no specific legal requirement, the data will be stored and kept only for the period necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or subsequently processed, after which they will be deleted.

 

ATP is responsible for the treatment of personal data collected, as well as for the preparation of this Privacy Policy.

 

In terms of general principles concerning the processing of personal data, ATP undertakes to ensure that the data of the holder processed by it are:

-Object of lawful, fair and transparent processing in relation to the data subject;

- Collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a way incompatible with those purposes;

- Adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed;

- Accurate and up-to-date where necessary

- Kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the data are processed

- Processed in a manner that ensures their security, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, for which purpose the appropriate technical or organizational measures shall be taken.

 

Rights of Data Subjects

Data subjects have and may exercise the following rights in relation to their personal data:

Right to Information - at the time of collection or processing, the data subject has the right to be informed as to the purpose of the processing, the data controller, entities to which their data may be communicated, conditions of access and rectification, and what mandatory and optional data will be collected.

Right of Access - the holder of the personal data has the right to access them, without restrictions or delay, as well as to know what information is available about the origin of the data, the purposes of processing and the communication of the data to third parties.

Right of Rectification - the holder has the right to demand that the data concerning him/her be accurate and up-to-date, and may at any time request their rectification from the ATP data controller.

Right of Erasure - the data subject has the right to have his/her data no longer processed, erased and deleted, under certain conditions, in the event that:

-they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected;

-the data subjects withdraw their consent or oppose the processing of their data;

-the processing of the data does not comply with the legal provisions.

Right to Limitation of Processing - the holder of personal data has the right to have their data limited to only what is essential for the purpose of the processing.

Right to Data Portability (data transfer) - the data subject has the right to receive his/her data or to request the transmission of his/her data to another entity that becomes the new controller of his/her personal data (only if technically possible).

Right of objection - the data subject has the right to object, at his or her request and free of charge, to the processing of his or her personal data for the purposes of direct marketing or any other form of prospecting and to the disclosure of his or her personal data to third parties, unless otherwise provided by law.

Right to Knowledge of the existence of a data breach - the personal data subject has the right to be informed if there is a security breach that compromises his/her data.

Right to Complaint to supervisory authority - the personal data subject has the right to complain not only to the entity's personal data controller, but also to the supervisory authority, the National Commission for Data Protection.
