ATP – Associação Têxtil e Vestuário de Portugal – has the pleasure to invite you to the SUSTAINABLE FASHION FROM PORTUGAL Press Event, that will take place at the Press Club Brussels Europe, in Brussels, on the 11th of May 2022, from 17h30 to 19h30.

ATP is Portugal’s national association for the textile and clothing industry. The sector is an important contributor to the Portuguese and the European economy and has experienced a remarkable recovery in the last decade. The event is part the Project "Sustainable Fashion From Portugal: Fashion Industry's New Chic", that has the main goal of increasing the exports of the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry through the strengthening and digitalization of its promotion and marketing processes in foreign markets, through good practices on Sustainability and Circular Economy.

The main focus will be the "EU strategy for sustainable and circular textiles", recently published, along with the importance of Sustainability in the Textile and Apparel Industry. To discuss these themes, the event will include the participation of Valentina Superti, Director of Tourism and Proximity, Digitalisation at DG GROW, Mário Machado, President of ATP, and also Paulo Lopes, Product Manager at J.F. Almeida Textiles, a Portuguese company who is an example of excellence in Sustainability/Circular Economy.

The session will conclude with a networking cocktail where people will be able to connect and discuss these important themes.
